Learn to Speak: Conversational French

Learn French and improve conversation, with the emphasis on the speaking.
Course Created by Scott McElroy
I am an experienced French supply teacher and assistant in the UK. I spent two years teaching English in France which resulted in a full and native understanding of the French language.

I now spend my time teaching others to speak French through the medium of e-learning, something which I am very excited and passionate about!

  •   Lifetime access to all lessons!

  •   Accessible via iPhone, iPad and Android (soon!)

The course is designed to help everyone from the ab initio stage - those who have never learned French before - to those wanting to brush up in preparation for an upcoming holiday or business trip. The course is audio based using a bilingual speaker (myself) and it will be supported with on-screen transcripts for easier learning and better retention. There are also printable vocabulary guides to take with you wherever you go!

Course Objectives

  • By the end of this course you will be able to hold a basic conversation with a native French speaker
  • In this course you will learn to introduce yourself, ask for directions to important landmarks and order a range of food and drinks.

Who Is This For?

  • The course is suitable for people with limited-to-zero previous French experience
  • There is no need to have had any experience with French at all, as the course covers everything as brand new learning. For the supplementary materials a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader will be required, and, although it is possible to use online application such as Google Docs to read the PowerPoint lectures, a version of Microsoft's PowerPoint software or equivalent would be preferable.
